The BSA Distinguished Conservation Service Award recognizes youth who learn about nature and conservation and carry out significant conservation projects. The projects must make a long-term impact.
This award may be earned by Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts. A Scout’s Eagle Scout project may be used as one of the projects, provided it meets the other criteria. In addition to the first level, there is a Bronze Honor and a Silver Honor for youth who go even further in their efforts.
There is also a BSA Distinguished Conservationist award available for adults. This recognizes a Scouter’s long-term commitment to educate youth about conservation and natural resources.
