Brainstorm some phrases to help the Cub Scouts remember their table manners – like “Say please and thank you”, “Don’t put too much in your mouth”, “Use your napkin”, “Don’t interrupt the conversation”, “compliment the cook”.
Write the phrases on the large sheet of paper with the marker and put it where the Scouts can see it.
Have the Cub Scouts pick three or four things they want to work on. They should write those phrases on a napkin with the fabric marker.
They can fill in white space with small drawings.
Each Scout takes his napkin home to use at mealtime. When he puts it on his lap, he should look at the phrases to remember what he is working on.
