Scouts learn about the different components of games while working on the Game Design merit badge. They investigate thematic elements, game play elements, and game analysis. They analyze an existing game and design a new game. Finally, Scouts explore careers related to game design.
Game Design Merit Badge
The Game Design merit badge give Scouts the opportunity to design and prototype a game. The game can be electronic, athletic, tabletop, or a pen and paper game. So this badge will appeal to all sorts of youth – from the one who makes up his own games while travelling in a car to the sports nut who wants to make something new by combining three of his favorite sports.
