Star Trek Day is September 8 of every year. This day celebrates the first airing of the Star Trek series on September 8, 1966.

Interestingly, the original series was was cancelled after three seasons. But over the years it became a cult classic, with its vision of a future where people from different backgrounds worked together to forge a better universe. And it spawned a franchise which resulted in numerous popular TV series, movies, fan fiction, and more.
Which was your favorite Star Trek series or movie?
The Star Trek world teaches us to be explorers and to get out of our comfort zones. It also teaches us that leadership is difficult and often involves hard decisions. Another lesson which can be found in Star Trek is the importance of cooperation and working together toward a common goal. All of these things are a part of Scouting also, so Star Trek Day is a good opportunity to remind ourselves about what is good in the universe of Scouting.
