Star Trek Day is September 8 of every year. This day celebrates the first airing of the Star Trek series on September 8, 1966.
Interestingly, the original series was was cancelled after three seasons. But over the years it became a cult classic, with its vision of a future where people from different backgrounds worked together to forge a better universe. And it spawned a franchise which resulted in numerous popular TV series, movies, fan fiction, and more.
