International Bacon Day

International Bacon Day is observed on the Saturday before Labor day. It is a celebration of crispy bacon.

One time while planning a troop campout, the Senior Patrol Leader decreed that every meal on the weekend had to include bacon. It became like a Cast Iron Chef competition.

Here are some ways you can celebrate bacon with your Scouts:

• Make Loaded Campfire Potatoes
• Make Mountain Man Breakfast
• Play Steal the Bacon
