Character Connection Activities

Note: Cub Scouts now use the Scout Law instead of the Character Compass. But the advice below still stands. When discussing character with Cub Scouts, make it fun.

Lark sent in this question:

I am working with a cub scout pack and in charge of the Character Connection. On Monday we will discuss what character is, but I prefer a hands on activity to go along with it. Do you have any? Then I will be looking for hands on activities or games for each of the core values.

I want to do more than roll playing and discussion to get the points across. Thanks.

Yes, games and activities definitely help when introducing the Cub Scout core values, which the Character Connections relate to. If you just talk about them, you loose the Cub Scouts’ interest quickly.
