The Milk Song

October 3, 2010 2 Comments

This is a fun song for a campfire or for some audience participation at a Pack meeting. Plus it encourages healthy eating habits! Scouts will love it!

I’ve usually heard it done like a rap, so I can’t name a tune it should sound like. Chances are, that one of the members of your unit is a rapper, so let him take the lead.

You can add some clapping or knee slapping in also.

Milk Song

Do this song like a rap. When you get to the “Moo moo moo moo”, one person puts his thumbs out and a partner pulls on them like he is milking a cow.

Rap the chorus:

Don’t give me no pop no pop
Don’t give me no tea no tea
Don’t give me no juice no juice
Just give me that milk
Wisconsin milk

Verses:
Moo moo moo moo!
Give me a little m
m (say softly and make a little m with your fingers)
Give me a big M
M                                 (say loud and make a big M with your arms)

Rap the chorus

Moo moo moo moo!
Give me a little l
l                                   (say softly and make a little l with your fingers)
Give me a big L
L                                  (say loudly and make a big L with your arms)

My son came home from NYLT this summer singing this rap along with a whole lot of others. But instead of Wisconsin milk they used the words for one of our camps “Ottari milk”

When you get to the end, sing the chorus one more time, and this time say “give me a small milk”, and they boys whisper “skim”, and then say “give me a big milk” and the boys yell “chocolate”!
