Jack O Lantern Creamsicles We had some creamsicles and some black icing gel so we decided to have some Halloween fun with them. We made these Jack O Lantern creamsicles. This would be a fun snack/craft for a den meeting.
Halloween Craft, Snack, and Game Ideas Craft, game, and snack ideas for your Halloween party or meeting. While some work best for younger kids, others are also appropriate for the older Scouts.
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe We always carve at least one Jack 'O Lantern in October. We never let the seeds go to waste though. We roast them and eat them instead. These never last long in our house.
BSA Tiger Den Meeting 9 - How Do You Celebrate and Making Decorations This meeting plan covers Tiger Elective 1 - How Do You Celebrate? and Tiger Elective 2 - Making Decorations. The celebration which the plan mentions is a Blue and Gold banquet, but you could adjust this plan for a holiday celebration.
Bobbing for Worms Halloween Party Game Looking for a last minute Halloween game idea? Here is a really easy which is fun for the players and spectators alike. And it is good for all ages. Our Crew played this at their costume party last year.
Crew Social Event and Service Project – Trunk or Treat They are going to help distribute pizzas at the event and do some other small jobs for the organizers. In return, they will have a table where they can hang out together and pass out candy (since none of them has a car). They will wear costumes and have a great time. So this will mostly be a social event for them with just a little service thrown in. It should be fun for them.
Halloween Bingo Cards If you are looking for a fun gathering activity for a den meeting or pack meeting around Halloween time, try these Halloween Picture Bingo Cards.
Tin Can Lanterns Tin can lanterns make a very versatile craft project for Cub Scouts. You can make the holes in any pattern you like - a star for Christmas, a ghost for Halloween, a heart for Valentine's day. Webelos and Bears can probably do this project themselves with some adult supervision. Younger scouts will need more direct help from the adults.
Crew Costume Party Our Venture Crew is having a costume party tonight. JD is responsible for planning the activities. I've asked him for a general idea of what will be happening.
Candy Corn Mix Recipe You could count this for Bear requirement 9b: With an adult, make snacks for the next den meeting. It isn't the healthiest thing in the world, but it probably a little better than the bags of chips or ding-dongs the parents used to send for our den when we had our meetings right after school.
Fake Wounds for First Aid Demonstrations If your Webelos or Boy Scouts are working on first aid requirements, you can add in some fun by making a fake wound on a "victim" or two.
Edible Spiders Recipe A snack made with crackers and pretzels. This recipe does not require any cooking, so it can be made at a meeting even if you don't have access to a kitchen.
