Ski911 Song  This silly song is a favorite with my boys. Yes, it involves crashing into trees, ambulance rides, blood, and the word cops. But it seems to be the type of song boys enjoy singing. Don't ask me why.

 

Boy at the TableGood Manners Napkins  Do you ever feel like you are repeating yourself when you are teaching your kids table manners? Here is an idea your Cub Scouts can make for their holiday table or even for everyday family dinners.

 

BalloonsBSA Tiger Den Meeting 9 - How Do You Celebrate and Making Decorations  This meeting plan covers Tiger Elective 1 - How Do You Celebrate? and Tiger Elective 2 - Making Decorations. The celebration which the plan mentions is a Blue and Gold banquet, but you could adjust this plan for a holiday celebration.

 

HammerTin Can Lanterns  Tin can lanterns make a very versatile craft project for Cub Scouts. You can make the holes in any pattern you like - a star for Christmas, a ghost for Halloween, a heart for Valentine's day. Webelos and Bears can probably do this project themselves with some adult supervision. Younger scouts will need more direct help from the adults.

 

Summer CampThe Twelve Days of Camping Song  Heres another silly song for you. This works well at Christmas (because of the tune) or at camp (because of the theme).

 

Star CookiesDad's Favorite Star Cookies Recipe  Here is another Christmas cookie. These are not very sweet. ZM and LC like to sprinkle these with colored sugar before we bake them.

 

US FlagThe Flag Remembers Christmas  You need to highlight the flag during this ceremony. Put a spotlight on it or have two scouts hold it up, or something like that.

 

FitnessLight the Candle Game for Cub Scouts  This is a simple game which works in well with a holiday themed meeting. It only requires a few materials and not much preparation, which makes it ideal in my mind. And it works indoors.

 

CraftsHoliday Napkin Rings  Cub Scouts can make this craft to brighten up a holiday table. They can decorate the napkin rings any way they want.

 

Candy Cane CookiesCandy Cane Cookies Recipe  ZM really enjoy making holiday treats. To him, if it has a special shape, that makes baking extra fun. So these are a good Christmas treat to make with Cub Scouts. They don't have a strong mint flavor, but are more like a sugar cookie.
