Play a game outdoors with your family or den.
All Tiger Cub activities are to be done with an adult partner. The adult partner can be a parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc. I’ve even had a college aged sibling do activities with Tiger Cubs.
If you are out with a goal oriented group and you want them to take some time to explore, consider adding one or more additional hiking activities.

Soccer is a great sport for young boys because most of them can pick up the basic skills quickly. And it also promotes the BSA aim of fitness. So if you are looking for a theme for your pack meeting or a pack activity, consider soccer.
Sports drinks like Gatorade or Power Aid are designed to replenish the water and salt your body loses when you are active or exercising. You can mix up your own powdered mix to accomplish this for a fraction of the cost of purchasing these drinks by the bottle.
For this month’s theme, I am focusing on classic outdoor games. These are games which would have been played by the Scout’s parents or even grandparents. There are a few ideas listed on the right, and more will gradually be shown on the Classic Outdoor Games Theme page.
