Klutz Book of Knots I have to admit that knots are not my strong suit. This book has really helped me learn the various knots I needed to teach to my Cub Scouts.
June Cub Scout Theme - Head West Young Man (Perseverance) Word on the street is that BSA will release a June Cub Scout theme called "Head West Young Man" for the June core value of Perseverance.
The Great Rope Escape Magic Trick This month I am featuring the BSA Abracadabra theme for the January Pack meeting. If you want to add some fun to your meeting, perform a simple magic trick. Cub Scouts will love it.
January Cub Scout Theme – Abracadabra (Positive Attitude) Rumor has it that BSA will be rolling out an Abracadabra theme for January's core value of Positive Attitude. So this month I am going to highlight some ideas to go along with that magic based program theme also.
Troop Running a Pack Meeting Tonight, our Boy Scout Troop is running the Pack meeting for our Cub Scouts. They are going to divide into dens and each den will have several Boy Scouts doing skill instruction with them. They are working on things like knots and outdoor skills which relate to the advancement for each den. While they are doing that, the Scoutmaster (my husband), is going to talk to the Pack parents about the Boy Scout program.
My Favorite Knot Book This book was recommended a few years ago when I went to Cub Scout BALOO training. I am not a "knot person". I can watch someone do a knot and repeat it, but an hour later it is forgotten.
