Webelos who earn the Badminton Belt Loop while a Webelos also complete part of requirement 3 for the Sportsman activity badge.

Cub Scouts earn belt loops which can be worn on the official Cub Scout belt when they investigate one of these areas. When they explore one of the topics further, they earn a pin. The pins are not worn on the uniform.
