Cooking Merit Badge
The Cooking merit badge introduces principles of cooking that can be used both at home or in the outdoors. Scouts who earn this badge will learn about food safety, nutritional guidelines, meal planning, and methods of food preparation, and will review the variety of culinary (or cooking) careers available.
The Cooking merit badge is required for the rank of Eagle.
This checkoff list could be used by a scribe to keep track of which Scouts have earned which merit badges or could be used by an individual Scout.

This cooking program feature for Boy Scouts offers the opportunity to plan a month’s worth of troop activities with food and cooking theme. The featured activity for this month is a patrol feast.

Our council has a “Toasted Chit” training for pressurized fuel use. I believe this is a local requirement, but I thought the organization of the material might be helpful to anyone doing pressurized fuel instruction.
Our Boy Scout troop is planning a campout in the spring based on the Cooking merit badge. I am a counselor for this badge, so I am working with the youth campmaster to help him plan the activities.
