Venturing Ranger Award Core Requirement – Conservation

To earn the Venturing Ranger award, a young man or woman must complete eight core requirements and four electives. One of the core requirements is Conservation.

By completing the Venturing Ranger Award requirements for Conservation, a Venturer must plan a conservation project, lead and carry it out, and then teach others about the project.

Venturing Ranger Award Core Requirement – Conservation

  1. As a Venturer, plan, lead, and carry out a significant conservation project under the guidance of a natural resources professional.
  2. Make a tabletop display or presentation on your conservation project for your crew, another crew, a Cub or Boy Scout group, or another youth group.

    Hello Scouter Mom,
    I am The President of Venture Crew 413 in Arroyo Grand, Ca. I am right about finished with my Ranger the only problem is I have no idea what o do for my project. If you or anybody you know can give me some ideas that would be more than helpful.

      Try contacting your local department of conservation, state, or national park and ask them for ideas. They can help you come up with something in your immediate area which you can get a group together to work on.
