To earn this award, Scouts must complete one of their science related merit badges and learn about related topics such as space, aviation, and weather. Scouts also visit a museum or build a catapult, pitching machine, or marble run.

I love that your troop is doing a shotgun shoot. Do you require the boys to have their Shotgun merit badge first? Are you allowing them to bring their own guns? How much are you charging for the shoot or does the Troop cover ammo, and blue rock?

I recently got certified to teach rifle and shotgun merit badges. I’m just curious how others do this. Our local council is kinda a bureaucratic nightmear for this kind of stuff expecting Troops only shoot at summer camp and Council events.
