Astronomy Terms Scramble Puzzle

Hopefully your pack or den will having some meetings or activities over the summer. One thing you could incorporate into your summer program is the astronomy belt loop from the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program. Your Cub Scouts will enjoy gazing at the stars on a summer night.

This puzzle would make a good gathering activity for a program focused on astronomy. It  is specifically made to help your Cub Scouts meet requirement 3 for the belt loop:

Explain the following terms: planet, star, solar system, galaxy, the Milky Way, blackhole, red giant, white dwarf, comet, meteor, moon, asteroid, star map, and universe.

Looks fun. I’ll have to save this opening/follow up den idea for Decemeber. Too much sun in Alaska in the summer to see the stars. This will make a great solstice activity though when darkness settles here at 4pm. Keep the great den activites coming.
