Songs are a great way to take a break between activities in a den meeting or pack meeting. There are several electives in the Cub Scout program which encourage the scouts to sing. I’ve found that the sillier the song, the better. Here is one DS actually learned at Boy Scout camp. He taught it to ZM’s den and they loved it.
Since DS also seems to enjoy it, it would be appropriate for a Boy Scout campfire program also.
The Twinkie Song
To the tune of “Do a Deer” from Sound of Music
Dough – the stuff they put in Twinkies
Ray – the guy who buys me Twinkies
Me – the guy Ray buys Twinkies for
Fa’ – a long, long line of Twinkies
So – I think I’ll have a Twinkie
La – la la la la la Twinkie
Tea – No thanks, I’ll have a Twinkie
Which will bring us back to dough, dough, dough, dough
This song would work for
