This time of year in our area planning for Cub Scouts can be difficult. The weather might be 70 degrees or it might be 10 degrees. So planning outdoor activities with Cubs can be chancy. But they are restless from being cooped up all winter.
That makes this a perfect time of year to look at the Gymnastics belt loop from the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program. Check with gymnastics programs in your area. Chances are that one will be happy to have your Cub Scouts in for a session at a reasonable price and help you meet these requirements. It gives the gyms an opportunity to introduce their programs to potential customers. LC earned the belt loop this way when he was a Webelos.
Webelos who earn the Gymnastics Belt Loop while a Webelos also complete part of requirement 3 for the Sportsman activity badge.
