A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room – Robert Baden-Powell
This is so true! And a week of camp life is much more fun than sitting in a meeting room also. And young men learn about responsibility and independence. So encourage your Scouts to go to summer camp. I have seen many boys who were on the edge about being Scouts. We always ask them to just stick with it through summer camp. For many of these boys, the summer camp experience is what keeps them involved in Scouting. The memories they make there will last a lifetime.
