Veterans Day Military Cadence

Today is Veterans Day. I’d like to thank all of the veterans who have kept us safe and free over the years. If you have a Scouting event today, this is the perfect opportunity to teach your Scouts to thank these heroes.

In honor this occasion, Mary sent in this cadence, or jody call. Thanks Mary!

Veterans Day Military Cadence

Have the youth march in place while singing the song

Left, left, left, right, left.
Left, left, left, right, left.
This is a repeat-after-me song….
Ready! (Ready!)
Veteran’s Day is here today!
We salute the soldier’s way.
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine-
They’re our heroes sight unseen.
Don’t forget the Coast Guard too
They are here for me and you.
In the past and now today,
Soldiers keep our country safe.
Because of theh-emmm, we can pray,
Go to school, and work, and play.
Sound off, Sound off, 1-2-3-4…
HOO-AH!

I’m a veteran new Scouter Dad Den Leader! Tigers have SO much energy! I’m bouncing around your site for some den meeting enhancements and ideas. My cubs are already hiking on Long Island and having a ball! I’m new to scouting and I hope my passion for scouting and past military experience will help these boy grow into great men!

I love this…modified it from Veteran’s Day to fit Guam’s Liberation Day. When the US liberated Guam from the Japanese occupation. Very fitting for the scouts marching behind our men and women of all Armed Forces. Thank you.

Hi, I was wondering who the author of this cadence is? Our scouts would like to perform it at their school veterans day program but want to give the author credit. Thanks
