This is the time of year for ice skating. With all of the freezing rain lately we can almost ice skate on our driveway. But the things my kids do out there when they run and slide is not real ice skating. Your Cub Scouts will have to put on some skates to earn their ice skating belt loop from the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program.
If you are heading outside for skating in this cold weather, don’t forget to check out the Winter Sports section of the Guide to Safe Scouting.
