Just because it has turned bitter cold outside this week doesn’t mean that Cub Scouts can’t stay active. Encourage your Cub Scouts to earn their basketball beltloop this month. If they are on a team, they have almost earned it already. This is part of the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program.
Cub Scouts who complete the requirements while they are Webelos can use this to fulfill part of requirement 4 for the Sportsman activity badge.

any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

This is a great opportunity to get some other adults involved. Ask around and find out if any of the moms or dads coach or even play basketball. They can come in and be a guest instructor. You might have some parents who are not comfortable leading a “Scout” activity, but who are very at ease teaching about sports. So if you are not familiar with the sport, make this a reason for some of the ones who are sitting on the sidelines to help with the program.
