In Bear Achievement 8 – The Past Is Exciting and Important – Cub Scouts learn about history. When I did this achievement with my dens, I selected requirement 8c (den scrapbook) and requirement 8d (family tree) as the two requirements to do along with requirement 8g (Character Connection for Respect).
If you don’t already have a den scrapbook, just make one in a binder. Let your Scouts glue a few pictures on some construction paper or write a story about something they did. Slip their work into clear plastic sheet protectors and put them in the binder.
When ZM’s den did this requirement, they spent more time than I anticipated showing off their family trees. They all had stories to tell about people in their families.
