The International Activity Badge recognizes scouts who have participated in international activities. The requirements vary by council, so you will need to check with your local council to find out what the specific requirements are. Typically, a Scout will need to do a combination of international activities, such as:
- Visiting Scouts in another country
- Participating in a World Jamboree
- Assisting international Scouts when they visit the US
- Being pen pals with Scouts in a different country
Some councils have separate activities for Cub Scouts and older Scouts. Others will have all levels doing the same requirements.
The patch itself is worn as a temporary patch on the right pocket of the uniform. The design of the patch is based on the World Crest (World Scout Emblem) and the BSA emblem.
