BSA Wolf Supplemental Den Meeting Plan N – Sports

BSA provides Wolf den meeting plans for Cub Scout den leaders. Today’s plan is a supplemental den meeting plan in which Wolf Cub Scouts get together to play a game of baseball or softball.  This plan covers part of  Wolf Elective 20 – Sports. The meeting can be repeated for some of the other sports listed in elective 20 – soccer, flag football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, badminton.

If you don’t already have the BSA den meeting plans, download BSA Supplemental Wolf Den Meeting Plan N  to follow along with this article.

Wolf Den Meeting Plans –  Sports

Preparation and Before the Meeting

Find a place to play a game of baseball or softball. If your chartered organization doesn’t have a field, check your local parks or schools. Gather up your equipment and enlist some parents to help out.

Gathering, Opening, and Business

See my Gathering Activities page for ideas for the gathering time. Cub Scout Trading Cards would go well with this theme.

Activities

You will be doing Wolf Elective 20l:

Play a game of baseball or softball.

This meeting is all about playing a game together. Check out the requirements for the Baseball Belt Loop and the Softball Belt Loop also. The Cub Scouts might be able to earn one of those also.

Closing

Do a closing flag ceremony if possible.

After the Meeting

The Wolves should help clean up the area and put the sports equipment away. Don’t forget to line up some parents to help at the next meeting.
