Tiger Den Meeting Ideas – Family Mobile
Preparation and Before the Meeting
To prepare for this meeting, gather up your materials. There is a good list in the den meeting plan. When I was a den leader, I always kept a box of various craft materials stocked. Many of the things in the box were cast off items or scraps, but they worked well for den projects.
See my gathering activities page for some ideas.
Opening and Business
Keep business short and sweet.
Tigers and their adult partners will be making family mobiles. Each item on the mobile will represent a family member. Let your Tigers get creative. After they make their mobiles, they can explain how each family member is represented. Some might actually draw family members. Others might represent each with a symbol for something they represent or like to do.
You might have some extra time during this meeting. If so, play a game. Check my games page for ideas.
Keep it simple. Say the Law of the Pack.
After the Meeting
Tiger Cubs should help clean up any mess from making the mobiles. This is also a good opportunity to communicate with the adult partners about upcoming pack and den activities. And don’t forget to recruit some help for your next meeting.
