BSA provides Bear den meeting ideas for den leaders on the Scouting.org website. These Cub Scout Bear den meeting plans are step by step guides to carrying out a den meeting. In addition to the basic den meeting plans, there are supplemental plans which can be used if you have additional meetings left. Today’s plan covers Bear Elective 13 – Magic.

Preparation and Before the Meeting
You will need to gather the supplies for the magic tricks. I recommend you try the tricks out several times beforehand so you are completely familiar with how they work before you get to the meeting.

Keep business to a minimum. Your Cub Scouts will be eager to get to the magic.
The den will be working on Bear Elective 13 – Magic, parts a, b, and d
Learn and show three magic tricks.
With your den, put on a magic show for someone else.
Learn and show three rope tricks.

They can use the tricks they learned to do a show for parents or siblings or even some other dens from the Pack.
Close with the Scout Oath.
After the meeting
The Bears should help clean up all of the equipment and supplies they used for the magic tricks. This is a good time to enlist some parents to help out at the next den meeting.
